News from Leonard

Om Leonard has been the very kind in giving his valuable time for Bitx Version 3.
We have some great pictures from Leonard for his Bitx version 3. Its equally great to
learn that that his Bitx is performing great and has a clean output of 5 watts as seen on a scope

I am putting up the post that Leonard had made on the Bitx Yahoo Groups below.

Last week I re-connected my version 3 boards and conducted some
tests.

Here's a picture of the assembled set:

Here's a picture of my output signal. 55 volts pk-pk = 5 watts pwer
out.

I'm currently awaiting delivery of a new set of boards and I will
make a step-by-step procedure for the build using them. This should
make the process easier for the less than experienced builder.
Meanwhile, you can find my current documentation at

New Frequency Counter dl4yhf PCB [Emitter Not Grounded]

The New Frequency Counter PCB is ready and has been shipped to a few Hams.
While making a new frequency counter with the new PCB I found the counter was not
reading the frequency from my Bitx VFO,but after inspecting the counter I came across
a missing ground for BC547. The pad of BC 547 Emitter was not connecting to ground,
after suitably grounding the Emitter of BC547 the frequency counter starting working to
satisfaction.
Such errors do come by and we regret them.

Home-brew bitx 20 version 3 of Anthonio Pagano I8PGO

Some exciting pictures of Bitx Version 3 have been sent by our friend Vittorio from Italy.
These pictures are of the home-brew bitx 20 version 3 of Anthonio
Pagano I8PGO

Anthony has effected some changes, replacing the driver 2N2219 with 2N3866 and also changing the final IRF510 with the most strong IRF624. Besides has incorporated the indicator of frequency with display.

The Bitx 20 of our friend Anthonio has a very good look and constructed in a very
planned way.

We wish you all the best with your Bitx and wish you have plenty of qso's with your
rig.
