Bitx is an easily assembled ssb transceiver for all bands and for the Amateur Radio Operator-Hams, with very clean
performance.Hams can home-brew the QRP TCVR by Using ordinary electronic components.
We have a new silk screen for the Bitx version 3.
The earlier silk screen had the BC547 Transistors Pad Shown . The new one has the 2n3904 shown.
We have also made all necessary corrections which were due.
The new look of PCB is quite good now , with all components visible with clear markings.
Getting the feeling to hear a new Bitx 3 qrv from some part of the world is always an amazing feeling for me as well as Bitx Fans world wide.
Joy has published on You Tube his completed Bitx Version 3 and has been very kind in sending me an email and link to his You Tube Channel.
Here is the email sent to me by Om JOY/YB0NSI
Hi Sunil,
I have finally completed the BitX20 I bought from you in March 2010..It is now placed in its final homebrew casing..It is a good kit with a quiet and sensitive receiver..With or without the FLL and a good antenna, it will work the world..I have managed to work 5 continents with it..Attached is the BitX20 working USA state-side and there are others on my YouTube Channel..I will also take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2012 !! .. 73, JOY/YB0NSI
BitX20 working USA Stateside Trying out QRP DX to USA stateside on 20m..Worked N1UK n K8XS, both from the East Coast via short path (through the North Pole)..Barely made it with a 3-5 report..An AGC is certainly needed to prevent the receiver from overloading by local strong signals..The counter is still jumpy due to RF but does not affect TX quality and the FLL works FB..Will isolate the RF Leak later by re-routing some of the wiring, improving Ground connection and putting some RF Beads..73
Published here are a few videos that show the Bitx Version 3 in receiving mode for 20mt band.
The Bitx version 3 that has been made is with no modifications at all and is made as details and parts
provided in the kit. I have used Steroflex Capacitors in the VFO.
The Freq counter used is the DL4YHF Design . The set is quite stable with not much of drift at all.
The RX works great with strong signals being heard. The band conditions also seem to be quite
good and lot of DX stations can be heard.
The set tunes the complete band from 14.000 MHZ to 14.350 MHZ
I hope the video will give ample view to show that the Bitx Version 3 Kit works as one of the best
and easy designs for Hams world wide building the Bitx 3 .
The Bitx VFO works quite stable with the FLL connected with it. We have a video which has been shared
by OM JOY/YB0NSI
Here is what Joy has to say regarding his FLL and Bitx.
Hi Sunil, the FLL seems to work FB..Thanks..JOY/YB0NSI

"With the FLL, the BitX20 is quite stable.. Working DX with 9M2NZI in Johor, West Malaysia, about 1000 Km away from my QTH..PEP is about 3W using a 50K Yaesu dynamic mic and a Mic Amp..The FLL works FB and is available from Sunil..The whole QSO is about 5 minutes and the TX/RX frequency barely move..The Antenna is a single element monoband rotary dipole about 25 meters (75 ft) from the ground..Thanks OM Nazri for the great QSO..73 "
